A Message from Lower Cape Outreach Council

As we approach the holidays, seasonal jobs have wrapped up here on the Lower and Outer Cape.  Our towns have grown quiet, and many of our neighbors have hunkered down; crossing their fingers hoping their cars will make it through the winter; and struggling to stretch reduced wages from week to week.

Lower Cape Outreach Council is once again grateful to our strong partnership with Nauset Newcomers.  This Thanksgiving season, we will distribute 700 Turkey Dinners with all the fixings to neighbors from Harwich to Provincetown on Saturday, November 18th.  We are asking our Nauset Newcomer friends to bring gravy and stuffing to the Nov 8th General Membership meeting to support our efforts.  We’ll add your donations to our bounty and be ready to distribute turkeys, sides, pies, and nuts to our neighbors.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we send our warmest wishes to you and to your families for a wonderful Thanksgiving season.

And at our December meeting, we ask that you bring an unwrapped toy/gift for a child or teen.  These gifts will be collected for distribution to the children of our clients during the holiday season.

With gratitude and appreciation,

Larry Marsland, CEO, and the Board & Volunteers of the Lower Cape Outreach Council
