Eastham Council on Aging

The Council on Aging identifies the total needs of the community’s elderly population, educates and enlists support and participation of all citizens concerning these needs, designs, promotes or implements services to fill these needs, or coordinates present existing services in the community, and promotes and supports any other programs designed to assist elderly programs in the community.


Eastham Search Committee

This committee advises the Eastham Board of Selectmen, the Finance Committee and the Town Moderator about the names and qualifications of taxpayers’ of the town available to serve on multi-member bodies, and periodically reviews committee charges and makes recommendations to  consolidate, eliminate, add and/or recharge town committees. 


Elder Services of Cape Cod

Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, Inc. (ESCCI) is a private, not-for-profit community-based organization dedicated to serving older adults in the twenty-two towns of Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties. It is the federally designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and the state designated Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) as well as the Aging and Disability Resource Consortium (ADRC) for the three county area.  It is a central source of information and services enabling elders to enhance their quality of life and maintain their independence. 

 

Friends of Snow Library

Friends of Snow Library is a non-profit 501c(3) organization which supports the Snow Library, its Trustees and staff with programs, activities, books and equipment not provided by town appropriations. The Friends provides a cultural bond with the citizens and visitors of Orleans through programs like Lifetime Learning, Book and Author Luncheons and many others. The Friends is the fund raising arm of Snow Library. Monies are raised through the use of the copy machine, book sales and other events.


Friends of The National Seashore

Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore (FCCNS) is the not-for-profit fundraising partner of the Cape Cod National Seashore, a partnership established to preserve, protect, and enhance the fragile environment and unique cultural heritage of the National Seashore.

 

Homeless Prevention Council

The Homeless Prevention Council is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization established to address homelessness in the eight towns on the Lower/Outer Cape.  The agency works with other advocacy groups, town agencies and churches to help people access housing, transportation, food, clothing and other needs.


Kiwanis Club of Lower cape Cod and Eastham

Lower Cape Outreach Council

The mission of Lower Cape Outreach Council is to provide emergency assistance of food, clothing and financial support to residents of the 8 towns that constitute Lower Cape Cod and to follow up with services and support in the areas of employment and education.

Nauset Light Preservation Society

Nauset Neighbors

Nauset Neighbors is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization with the mission to help senior citizens stay in their home and active in their communities as long as possible.  Volunteers provide Cape-wide transportation, handyman services, friendly visits, and computer help.  Nauset Neighbors is an all-volunteer organization, with no paid staff, providing services to over 300 members.
